Lodz Design Festival had opened with a huge crowd last Thursday. The energy was fantastic as hundreds of creative people had gathered at Targowa Street in Lodz.
There were intensive talks, loud laughs, exchange of thoughts and ideas between designers, media, clients and the general public . If you were not there for the opening, you still have a chance to come as the Festival closes next Sunday, October 27th.
The Art Food project is a part of the Open Program that covers this year’s theme “It’s All About Humanity”. This is the first time the festival program has been structured according to three key themes: CONSUMPTION, COHABITATION and INTERACTION and this is the first time when the Art Food is exposed within a wider context. The coherent presentation shows one of many aspects of consumption that are being discussed during the Festival.
The block is composed of the following parts:
– Exhibitions: Food I Design I Humanity (Main Programme) and Curator’s guided tour: Sonja Stummerer and Martin Hablesreiter
– Food | Design | Humanity conference (Gabriele Sorgo, Beate Koller, Prof. Dr. Vijai K. S. Shukla, Eugenio Butelli, Marc Bretillot, Earlwyn Covington, Katarzyna Gliszczyńska, Peter Raspor, Joanna Mroczkowska, Peter Barham)
– Accompanying Exhibitions: Art Food (Marek Cecuła), Around the Table (ASP Gdańsk), The Wishing Table (Michael Vasku), Hungry Planet (Peter Menzel, Faith D’Aluisio)
